Jane owns Paws Awhile Pet Services and has been involved with animals all her life; she worked as a vet nurse for 5 years and recently left her busy corporate job in the animal health industry for a more relaxed lifestyle and to start her own business.

Jane is also a highly regarded ANKC breeder of Golden Retrievers and breeds and shows under her Camuka prefix. She has been breeding and exhibiting for over 35 years. She is also a successful author, publishing her first book on Golden Retriever Puppy Care in 2020. This book has become a top seller. Jane is working on two new books on Golden Retrievers and has also helped produce many books for other authors.

Her other interests are art and travel; she is also a keen gardener.
